A matter of... Last year, clubs from São Paulo spent approximately R$110 million on new signings. That figure is less exceptional when compared with other markets and their payments of fees to player agents.
...perspective. According to a study by sports law firm Carlezzo Advogados, English clubs spent R$252 million — R$142 million more than the São Paulo clubs — on agent fees alone. Manchester City, then the English champions, spent R$34.5 million.
