Paradox. At the close of the European transfer window, the three most valuable Brazilian players — Willian, Taison and Pato — were not in the national team, at least not in Luiz Felipe Scolari’s first squad. That is the finding of a study by sports law firm Carlezzo Advogados.
Cost. Willian went to Anzhi for R$95 million, while Taison left Metalist in Ukraine to join Shakhtar for more than R$40 million, roughly the same amount Corinthians paid for Pato. Lucas’s move to PSG was excluded because it had been agreed in August.
