• Player's Intermediaries

Since April 1, 2015 FIFA has extinguished the figure of the so-called “FIFA agent”, the entity has deregulated the market and has given national federations normative power over this activity. The agents came to be called "intermediaries".

The business development of sports relations strengthened the figure of the Intermediary of Players, a professional qualified to provide the athlete with the management of his sports career.

In this area, where intermediaries deal with athletes and football clubs on a daily basis, they should be advised by lawyers knowledgeable of the sports environment, in view of the specifics of the same.

Carlezzo Advogados, relying on the know-how of having participated in several national and international transfers of athletes representing leading intermediaries in the football market, knows the demands and risks of this activity, in order to be able to structure mediation and agency contracts that guarantee the parties involved legal security in their relations, in accordance with the applicable sports rules.

The office makes available to intermediaries the following advice:

  • Advice on business transactions with football clubs and sponsors

  • Elaboration of agency and intermediation contracts with athletes

  • Elaboration of business intermediation contracts and transfers with clubs

  • Advice on national and international transfers

  • Advice aimed at fulfilling the obligations that intermediaries have with CBF as a result of the “FIFA Intermediaries Regulation”

  • Representation in procedures and complaints before national and international arbitration courts
